What is Aadhaar?
Aadhaar is a initiative by Govt. of India to provide a unique identification number to all Indian citizens. This number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India.
How to get Aadhar Card?
Aadhaar registration is being rolled out across the country in a phased manner. Enrolment is done through UIDAI authorized centers. Click here to locate Aadhaar enrolment centre nearest to you. You may go to any authorized enrolment center anywhere in India with your identity and address proof.
Note that there is no facility for online submission of forms since your photo, finger-prints and iris scan will also be taken as a part of the enrolment.
After the enrolment process, Aadhaar number will be issued to the applicant after detailed verification. It may take 60-90 days or longer to get your Aadhar number.

How to check Aadhaar Application Status?
Aadhaar status can be checked online on UIDAI website by entering your Enrolment Id and Date time-stamp printed on your Acknowledgement slip. Click for status link.

Once your data is verified, you can get your Aadhaar No. on your registered mobile by entering the 14 digit Enrolment Id with Date time-stamp and Mobile no printed on your Acknowledgement slip. Click to get Aadhaar No.
